Full disclosure: GPT-4 wrote this headline with the prompt of writing a headline that would incentivize email opens. Did it work? Are we all doomed? Or is this the start of the next gold rush?
We are doomed. The headline was cheesy and for a minute I thought ... hmmm doesn’t feel like something Matt Higgins would write. Speed is not always best. In the words of Casey Neistat ... “ChatGPT is soulless.” I couldn’t agree more. Better isn’t always best. I’m willing to learn it and see how this plays out. I think too many lack luster creatives will use it thinking it will give them an edge, it won’t. They will just be diluted and forgotten as AI eats up everything.
AI has its place. An engineer at our recent conference summed it up for me in one sentence... "The processing speed of AI is the equivalent of travelling to the sun and back in the blink of an eye", and if Moore is correct, I can't wait to see what the next two years bring.
Are you folks that naive? Catch up. The guy co-founded Open AI and has been building a rival all along. Just because he didn't show his cards early does not mean he hasn't been quietly building out a strong competitor that he can control. If he follows through with his original intent for Open AI... to create a stand-alone NPO that is not infected with the liberal dizziness at MSFT, most will switch over as a result of better pricing. I am not a huge Musk fan, but I love what he has done at Twitter. He exposed all the lying lazy cheats that were collecting a paycheck on the shareholder's dime. He reminds me of Hacksaw AL and anyone that believes Musk has not been working toward competing with Open AI since the day the Board turned down his offer to take over... has Missed the Boat.
This is an exciting one, Matt. Funny, I was telling many people - who don't like Elon - that his position on AI had to be about wanting a competitive advantage, and voila! Ok I'm going to go deeper with AI and make it part of my BTBs life. I will also explore any proprietary insights I might get. Keep these babies coming. Always loved being ahead of the curve and I feel I get that here - and more 🔥
Well it got me to open the email! Full disclosure I was going to open it anyway.
